How To Scan Specific Folders For Duplicate Files Using Gemini

The one thing that I don’t like about using my Mac is the amount of duplicate files I accumulate.  I suppose the very same thing happens to me when I use my Windows machine, but because I use my Mac more often, I end up with more duplicates. And I hate having more than one version of a file for no good reason. So, it is important to know how to remove those pesky duplicate files.

Free up system space by deleting duplicate files with Gemini.

I like to use a great little program called Gemini.  The application will quickly locate and remove duplicate files from your Mac. The simple user interface will allow you to drag and drop your folders into Gemini and this is where they will be scanned for identical file traits. If any duplicates are located, a quick click on the Auto Select button is all that is needed to delete them forever.

Simply start the application and click on the + symbol.  A dropdown window will now appear; giving you the option to choose which folders you wish to scan.  This is particularly useful if you only want to scan for certain media types, such as AAC files in iTunes, for instance.  Now you need to highlight the folder you want to scan and click Add and Scan.  If Gemini locates any duplicates, you can see them by clicking the ‘Show Results’ button.  Now you can choose which versions to delete and which versions to keep. The files will appear under headings of Pictures, Documents, Folders and Other. You can select the file version to appear by size, type, name, count, selected and path.

Gemini uses unique algorithms that make scanning and removal fast and trustworthy.  The Gemini application ensures that you will keep at least one version of each duplicated item, so you don’t need to worry about wiping out anything permanently.

Unlike many other torrent clients available, µTorrent does not eat away at valuable system resources; in fact, the program typically runs on approx. 6MB of memory. µTorrent is contained within a single executable file, smaller than 1 MB.

Features include:
  • BitTorrent Labs icon to the status bar
  • Help menu items for bundle and BitTorrent Labs
  • Change logging in settings to remove OpenX
  • Keyboard shortcut to refresh ads now
  • Overlay image when "i" is hovered over

  • UPnP support for all versions of Windows
  • Peer exchange
  • Protocol Encryption
The customization options for icons, toolbar graphics and status icon replacements are vast, you can even create your own. µTorrent incorporates localization support and has language support; therefore it will automatically change to your system language.
The µTorrent software was designed to use only minimal resources, yet still offering the functionality comparable to larger BitTorrent clients. µTorrent is very user-friendly; the program updates are not scheduled and are only released when thoroughly tested. This product is available for all major releases of Windows.

µTorrent provides high quality service in a tiny package.

Adobe Air Beta Update Now Available To Download

The Adobe AIR runtime allows you to have your favorite web applications with you all the time, no matter where you are. Applications that are built for Adobe AIR run on your desktop computer without the need for a web browser. It provides all the convenience of a desktop application.

Security is a high priority concern with Adobe, and because of this ethic Adobe AIR helps ensure safe installations by requiring digital signatures on each AIR application.  This helps identify the application and its creator before you install.

Companies such as eBay are using Adobe AIR to create exciting new applications, which allow you to use their services on your desktop environment.  Using Adobe AIR means you can have applications that are easier, more powerful, and more fun to use.

The following changes have been made in this version of Adobe Air:

# Fixed Issues:
* Android – When packaging Android applications, the default minimum heap size for the dx.jar operation is now explicitly set to 1024 when not specified by the developer.
* Android – Resolves an issue where StageText.restrict rules were erroneously applied to programmatically defined StageText if thefullscreen tag was set to true in app.xml
* Android – OpenSSL updated from 1.0.1g to 1.0.1h version
* Android – R$styleable.class goes missing from the final AIR app APK though is included in ANE. (3776148)

Note: To use the fix for this bug one has to set JAVA_HOME in machine’s path before packaging the APK

You can download Adobe Air from  http://www.datafilehost.com/d/20f09084 TODAY and share it!!!!!

5G WIRELESS COMMUNICATION

Today 3G mobile systems are on the ground providing IP connectivity for real-time and non-real-time services. On the other side, there are many wireless technologies that have proven to be important, with the most important ones being 802.11Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN) and 802.16 Wireless Metropolitan Area Networks (WMAN), as well as ad-hoc Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN) and wireless networks for digital TV and radio broadcast. Then, the concepts of 4G is already much discussed and it is almost certain that 4G will include several standards under a common umbrella, similarly to3G, but with IEEE 802.xx wireless mobile networks included from the beginning. The main contribution of this paper is definition of 5G (Fifth Generation) mobile network concept which is seen as user-centric concept instead of operator-centric as in 3G or service-centric concept as seen for 4G. In the proposed concept the mobile user is on the top of all. The 5G terminals will have software defined radios and modulation scheme as well as new error-control schemes can be downloaded from the Internet on the run. The development is seen towards the user terminals as a focus of the 5G mobile networks. The terminals will have access to different wireless technologies at the same time and the terminal should be able to combine different flows from different technologies. Each network will be responsible for handling user-mobility, while the terminal will make the final choice among different wireless/mobile access network providers for a given service. The paper also proposes intelligent Internet phone concept where the mobile phone can choose the best connections by selected constraints and dynamically change them during a single end-to-end connection. The proposal in this paper is fundamental shift in the mobile networking philosophy compared to existing 3G and near-soon 4G mobile technologies, and this concept is called here - the 5G.

EPIDERMAL ELECTRONIC SYSTEM

We report classes of electronic systems that achieve thicknesses, effective elastic moduli, bending stiffness’s, and areal mass densities matched to the epidermis. Unlike traditional wafer-based technologies, laminating such devices onto the skin leads to conformal contact and adequate adhesion based on van der Waals interactions alone, in a manner that is mechanically invisible to the user. We describe systems incorporating electrophysiological, temperature, and strain sensors, as well as transistors, light-emitting diodes, photo detectors, radio frequency inductors, capacitors, oscillators, and rectifying diodes. Solar cells and wireless coils provide options for power supply. We used this type of technology to measure electrical activity produced by the heart, brain, and skeletal muscles and show that the resulting data contain sufficient information for an unusual type of computer game controller.
